100,000 Website Hits in 4.5 Years
On Wednesday 21st February 2001 my website hit count reached the 100,000 mark, which is not bad for a scientist. It took 3 years (Sept 4 1996, to Aug 28 1999) to achieve the first 50,000 hits. It took only half that time to reach the second 50,000. Does this reflect the exponential growth in the number of web users, or a growing interest in my site? Probably both, but the mix of the two influences would be hard to discern.
